We are on an exciting journey to build the next generation of public facing financial platform and rapidly growing our engineering team with ambitious AI-ML Engineers who can independently architect, develop, and deploy NLP machine learning models to implement state of the art text / document recognition solutions to power financial workflow solutions. If you are a Software Engineer who likes to innovate and solve complex problems, this is the place to be.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop novel NLP algorithms and models using state-of-the-art techniques like deep learning and knowledge base-augmented ML
  • Move the needle on unsolved problems in cross-domain NLP by conducting original research into replicating and augmenting human expert behavior with machine intelligence
  • Lead the development of data science and modeling capabilities in the cloud transformation journey
  • Write production-ready modeling code at scale
  • Contribute to a stellar engineering culture that values simplicity and function rooted in excellent design, documentation, testing, and code
  • Collaborate with senior product and engineering leaders to identify the most promising problems to go after
  • Continually improve the reliability, stability, and performance of production engineering processes that power the product offering
  • Beyond engineering, strive to learn the business context of their projects to quickly play a leading role in solving problems and driving decisions
  • Mentor and lead other ML Scientists and Engineers to help make our team even more awesome!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in an analytical or technical field (e.g., applied math, physics, computer science, operations research), or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods, particularly in the areas of modeling.
  • You have at least 4 years of experience performing novel research and deploying models to production in NLP or allied fields.
  • You have mastery of the techniques required to work effectively with real-world data and have developed a successful track record training ML model on large, messy datasets.
  • Strategic thinker and influencer with demonstrated leadership acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, transparent style with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to lead and deliver results.
  • Strong skills in oral and written communication including experience in effectively communicating with executives, employees, colleagues, and clients.
  • Experience conceiving, implementing and continually improving machine learning projects.
  • Strong familiarity with higher level trends in artificial intelligence and open-source platforms.
  • Experience working with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platform.
  • Familiarity with visualization techniques and software.
  • Experience in the financial industry or knowledge of financial products/markets is a plus.
