Looking for a talented developer with Finance and Capital Markets Trading and Risk experience. Project work would include working with clients implementing new trading and risk management technology platforms

The role of the developer is to design and implement client-specific requirements. The person(s) hired for this role will utilize SDLC & Software design best practices to implement solutions for global clients.

The successful candidate will help our team continue to grow, exercising an eye for detail across all aspects of the development lifecycle while maintaining organization and good code hygiene. This engineer should be able to effectively communicate both with KWA’s internal teams and with clients. The successful candidate values teamwork and collaboration and is willing to mentor junior developers.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Fluency in an analytical programming language such as Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica.
  • Optimized data wrangling know-how, with deep knowledge of the tools such as Pandas, numpy, scipy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, or computer programming or accomplished technical capital markets experience obtained in a lead capacity.
  • Able to verbally explain or document abstract concepts such that non-technical audiences would understand.
  • 3-5+ years of python experience

 

Nice to haves include:

  • Master’s or higher degree in engineering, statistics or applied math
  • 5+ years Capital Markets derivatives development and support experience preferably related to Fixed Income trading desk, supporting securities pricing, hedging, and risk analytics
  • Deep knowledge of fixed income market conventions, deal structures, and pricing/risk management
  • Experience with Beacon, Athena or SecDB
  • Experience building/enhancing/maintaining real-time quoting and risk systems
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Familiarity with Asset-Liability Management techniques
  • Familiarity with Portfolio Construction/Optimization
  • Familiarity with relevant sources of market data and product data
