Lake Resources is looking for a well-organized Principle Analyst to join our corporate strategy team based in Houston, Texas. Lake Resources is a clean lithium developer utilizing clean, direct extraction technology for the development of sustainable, high purity lithium. We aim to become an efficient, responsibly-sourced, environmentally friendly and cost competitive supplier of high-purity lithium. Lake Resources projects are readily scalable and its battery-quality product is in demand from Tier 1 electric vehicle (EV) makers to battery makers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Support leadership with quantitative and quantitative analyses including competitive analyses and potential sources of disruption; framing and structuring disparate ideas and information to make them concrete and actionable;
- Assist in conducting in-depth market research pulling data from multiple industry market data providers. Utilizing the data to develop in-depth analysis of current market trends and events to provide sound recommendations that inform company strategy;
- Monitor internal and external data to develop and update a consolidated view of the global energy transition industry, specifically demand and supply dynamics on Lithium production, electric vehicles and battery storage;
- Develop and maintain global competitor maps of capabilities, capacities and strategies;
- Develop and distribute internally, a monthly strategy market intelligence report;
- Support the development of the company’s growth strategy and strategic plans;
- Support leadership in evaluating key organizational questions to ensure the company is best positioned to deliver on its commitments to key stakeholder;
- Proven ability to juggle multiple complex assignments that require strong time management and project management skills with emotional intelligence, political savviness, discretion and integrity;
- Synthesizes complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods;
- Contributes to the development of analytical tools, systems and processes to support the development of strategy and tracking and reporting of the progress on strategic initiatives;
- Act as administrator for the global suite of 3rd party data sources the company subscribes to including managing user lists and renewals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business (e.g. Finance, Marketing, Management, etc.), Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Operations Management;
- 3+ years of work experience after completing undergraduate degree. Ideally strategy related;
- Experience in a high energy, collaborative, diverse team environment to complete a wide variety of responsibilities independently with minimal supervision;
- Demonstrated ability to frame a problem and dissect it in an organized approach, and in turn form a hypothesis against which to run test analysis;
- Strong understanding of strategic business concepts, along with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans;
- Success utilizing exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement solutions;
- Dexterity with analytical and presentation tools, including but not limited to MS Office Suite, Tableau, etc.;
- Excellent verbal communication, written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with senior executives. Communicate in an open and honest way that quickly builds trust and respect;
- Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations;
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, understands how to deliver on short time frames and be committed to meeting deadlines “no matter what”, highly motivated and possesses vision and enthusiasm to “make a difference.”
