Job Location: Bangalore/Bengaluru
The Trade Compliance senior analyst, South Asia – Middle east cluster reports to the Trade Compliance Regional Director and will be an integral part of the regional trade compliance team. Responsibilities include managing customs import/export operations and customs brokers, mitigating risk via risk assessments and transactional audits, developing and implementing control procedures and advising on trade opportunities in the region.

Partners with the Regional and Global Trade Compliance team in development, implementation, training, and monitoring of customs related procedures within the brands and business functions supporting the company s responsibility for compliance.

for the region to advise on compliance matters including trade preference programs, valuation, classification, documentation requirements and reporting key performance indicators.

Assures all instructions and consultation provided are recorded and maintained under proper document control.

Monitors new and existing trade preference programs and trade policy. P rovides counselling and recommendations to relevant business functions on impacts of policy changes .

Maintains awareness of emerging trade issues and their impact to LSCo sourcing strategies. Conducts research and gathers information related to compliance matters. Represents the Company as necessary at industry events.

Shared responsibility for training and education for internal LSCo functions, brokers, forwarders, contractors, vendors, and affiliates. Responsible for the development and maintenance of documentation requirements and departmental handout materials. Plans and conduc ts in -house Customs awareness training or external training to vendors. ..
Customs Operations

Ensure operational efficiency of shipment movement by managing customs brokers via quarterly and monthly business reviews. Ensure procedures are followed and efficiencies are continuously developed and implemented

Responsible for managing internal and external audits with regulatory auditors and Regional Trade Compliance, collection and review of documentation and other tasks as needed.

Responsible for working with the regional finance teams to ensure appropriate licenses and authorizations are maintained.

Supports global classification team by ensuring broker classification meetings are conducted as needed.

Responsible for export shipping documentation for South Asia – Middle east cluster outbound shipments.

Develops and implements internal policy and procedural changes in coordination with the regional and global trade compliance team
Risk Mitigation

Partners with local finance organization to support compliance activity.

Audits transactional customs entries to ensure accuracy in entry filing and brokerage entry quality.

Able to identify risk to compliance operations based on market conditions, business needs, or other impacts and report them to the Regional Trade Compliance team as necessary

Assists with or manages Supply Chain Security initiatives with regionally located suppliers by ensuring they have appropriate documentation to support C-TPAT requirements when shipping to the US.

Supports departmental internal audit reviews to ensure policies are followed.
About you:
Work Experience : Solid experience in customs, trade compliance, or another similar position.
Experience with a global multinational company preferred

Solid command of international logistics, customs, and trade compliance and policy

Experience with general customs processes, audit, and compliance requirements

Well versed in import/export documentation requirements in the region

Well versed in MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word, and MS Outlook,

PowerBI or Tableau skills a plus

Ability/skills to organize and analyze large amount of data

Experience with Trusted Trader programs ( AEO , C-TPAT) a plus
