Duties & Responsibilities:

The Data & Analytics Specialist position at Lincoln provides an excellent opportunity to work in a demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment. The Data & Analytics Specialist should have relevant professional experience, be entrepreneurial, poised and able to deal with many different people both inside as well as outside the firm. Based in Chicago, Illinois, the Data & Analytics Specialist will serve as a key member of Lincoln’s Business Enablement team, with the primary role of supporting Lincolns proprietary private market database. The Data & Analytics Specialist will gain a general understanding of Lincoln’s Valuations and Opinions business, as well as an understanding of Lincoln’s client base.

Regular working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Willingness and ability to work overtime is necessary.

The primary duties are to:

  • Participate in data validation and quality assurance testing as well as data health analysis;
  • Participate in the transformation of the data into quarterly insights about the private credit and equity markets;
  • Assist in data compilation and organization;
  • Proficiency and familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI);
  • Consult with other groups for business analysis and data strategy;
  • Assist in metadata and lineage in accordance with data governance;
  • Assist in execution of strategic technology implementations;
  • Utilize project management tools such as Monday.com, JIRA etc.;
  • Familiarity with Machine learning concepts is plus

Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
  • 1 – 2 years of professional experience in a comparable analytical role
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Familiarity with Databases concepts and modeling is a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with Financial processes and terminology is a plus but not required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data management and manipulation (e.g. write and use formulas, track statistics, manipulate data tables)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
