Position Summary
Logistics and Supply Chain Business Analyst to conduct data analysis to identify key areas to improve our logistics and distribution center operations, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collect and report consistent Data for all DC’s
- Support communication and Dashboard Data
- Track and report metrics on logistic operations, such as current pick rates or inventory turns
- Drive consistency with reporting with engagement
- Analyze and report data to help identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive overall improvement of results and find solutions
- Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordination of sample data
- Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology to improve logistics processes
- Develop an understanding of customers’ needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met
- Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules and responsibility and compliance matrices
- Report project plans, progress and results
- Work with individuals and teams to discuss discovered opportunities based on the analysis
- Direct team activities by establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources
- Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements
- Help foster relationships with business partners
- Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems
- Track KPIs and report on logistics and supply chain’s performance
- Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-2 years experience in retail, supply chain, or distribution operations. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel. Experience in Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools including such as Tableau is a plus.
