The Quality Performance Management Solutions Delivery team aids in shifting the Q&MS enterprise to meet our Key Results. This includes system modernization, consolidation of Business Area processes & practices and cutting edge data science and analytic tactics.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time, partially-remote, experienced Data Scientist Manager to lead a team of Data Analyst, Data Engineers and Software Engineers that are reengineering the way Quality professionals work across the entire value stream and product lifecycle. This role will ensure the data architecture efforts for the Quality and Mission Success (Q&MS) organization will meet the needs of the organization for the long term. Employees will be geographically dispersed across our Fort Worth, TX, Marietta, GA, or Palmdale, CA locations as well as full-time teleworkers.
You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure Quality processes are well-defined and efficiently implemented. Experience and/or knowledge of quality engineering principles is required. This position will strategically and tactically integrate and coordinate multiple Quality capabilities to help Aeronautics successfully meet Aero 100 goals that maximize our business needs. In this role, you will get to work closely with cross-business teams like technology transformation leads, IT professionals, change management, design/manufacturing/process engineers and Quality data analysts.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and manage the Q&MS DX roadmaps, ensuring they are integrated into the Corporate and Operations strategies
- Lead and manage a team of highly-skilled quality engineering and analysis professionals
- Develop and manage the deployment and change management plans for Q&MS technologies
- Partner with the Q&MS Product Owners to ensure accurate input and tracking of financial and benefit/Return on Investment data
- Support Agile business practices utilizing various Agile Software Tools to manage and participate in solutions delivery business activities
This role is a partially remote position, travel will be required as needed (10-20% of the time).

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, 14 years or more of professional experience in Quality Engineering, Data Science or related experience in Aerospace; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Proven leadership experience in the Aerospace and Defense
- Project Management and/or Change Management experience.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Data Analysis & Data Science
- Experience with Agile Methodologies
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Products such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with one or more of the following: SQL, R, SAP HANA, Tableua, Python, Hadoop, Graph Database
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Tools suites
- Experience with ERP Tool Suites
