As a Production Quality Engineer Asc, you will support propulsion production activities at the John C. Stennis facility. We build propulsion and mechanical assemblies for our hypersonic vehicles, satellites, and spacecraft in order to provide capabilities for a variety of missions for our customers. These exciting missions include the next generation of GPS and weather satellites, hypersonic launch vehicles, deep space missions, human space flight, as well as several military and classified satellites that defend our nation and those that serve.
The Quality Engineer Asc at Stennis will drive process improvements on the production floor to reduce variation and non-conformances in our products. You will verify and lead changes to ensure work instructions are planned in the most efficient and effective manner, and you will work with high value hardware on the floor to ensure that defects are identified and dealt with in the right way every time.
You will have a strong commitment to process improvement and handle multiple projects and priorities. You will be dedicated to the critical responsibility of doing “what’s right” for the product and our customers at all times. Striving for excellence in every detail will be our final line of defense in ensuring a successful mission. A continuous improvement mindset, focus on product quality, and the ability to work effectively with a team are also key.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering).
Work or classroom experience with manufacturing/quality processes
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Propulsion Experience
Welding Experience
Experience with data analytics to report trends and achieve results
Excellent communication skills in order to effective engage the team, customers and senior leaders

Resourceful self-starter possessing a ‘learning orientation’
