As the Business Development professional responsible for planning and executing capture, proposal and advanced study efforts in support of the Special Programs line-of-business (SP LOB), the successful candidate will leverage current business and capabilities to penetrate core and near-core RF markets to grow the LOB, diversify its portfolio and meet Long-Range Plan (LRP) commitments totaling more than $1B annually. This business development analyst will be responsible for discovering, qualifying and maturing opportunities, developing discriminating value propositions and offerings, and bidding effectively to achieve high win rates. In this role, you will work with Program and Advanced Programs leadership to develop and maintain detailed individual project and capture plans for distinct lines of effort that span programmatic, technical, and capture in support of SP LOB growth objectives. Responsible for identification and capture of new technology initiatives originating from the DoD, IC, and USG Labs. Evaluate opportunities and down select high probability options, work with stakeholders to build consensus, create a winning strategy, develop a go-to-market plan and win.
Basic Qualifications:
- Leadership and engagement skills to motivate and effectively direct a cross-functional capture team.
- Very strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of DOD missions, technologies, and customers.
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change and aggressively engage competitively to grow a large business unit in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Ability to think strategically and manage the development and execution of long-range objectives and strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic opportunities and issues that could affect growth and profitability.
- Knowledge of strike markets, National Security Space customers, their missions, enabling technologies, programs, key opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in developing and delivering superior products with constrained schedules and resources.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $71,900 – $119,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off
