Our organization is looking for an experienced Computer Operations Analyst for a (1-3) years contract position in Raleigh, NC.

Candidates must be either a US Citizen or Green Card (Permanent Residence).

This will be a weekend position. The shift will be.
Wed – 8am-6pm, Thurs 8am-6pm, Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 8am-9pm
OR
Sun – 8am-9pm, Mon 8am-6pm, Tues 8am-6pm, Wed 8am-6pm
Additionally – There will be a 1-2 month training period that will be M-F first shift 8-5 before migrating to the assigned shift and hours. Exact shift and details will be discussed with the candidate.

Candidates must have lived in the US for at least (5) years and can’t have been outside the US in the last (5) years more than (6) months cumulative. This requirement is for the security clearance.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Monitoring and remediating issues with alerts and notifications to support servers and other application tools.
  • Responding to alerts related to file transfer issues or other data issues, and remediating these alerts.
  • Assisting partners via email and phone to resolve transfer issues which could be related to server, network or other infrastructure components.
  • Documenting issues and assisting with root cause analysis as needed.
  • Provide 24×7 support for Enterprise Level Networks.
  • Proactively monitor network status and taking appropriate actions as needed.
  • Work with the incident management team to determine cause of network issues.
  • Trouble shoot network incidents and work to resolve them.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 1 year experience is required. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Intermediate UNIX/LINUX skills (comfortable with UNIX/Linux at the command line)
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and remediate any issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Understanding of networking and file transfer protocols.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience with Windows Operations systems, Office suite and Outlook email.
