Internship Program Overview
Lowe’s 2023 Summer Internship Program offers a challenging, project-based opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNEยฎ 50 company. The internship will provide broad learning, experience, organizational knowledge, and business acumen. We are looking for:

The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 22nd and concludes on August 4th. All internships are paid opportunities. This role has potential for conversion into a full-time role for those that successfully complete their internship and required education. And qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe’s housing benefit.
Warranty Work Overhaul (Business/ Data Analytics) Intern
Product Activation & Initiatives team drives timelines and processes to support new endeavors, product launches, and after sales customer services support, including warranties. The Warranty Work Overhaul Intern will leverage their business analytics skills to develop a standard framework and program for Loweโs Warranty Program for its Private Brands (e.g., Kobalt)
- Deliver meaningful insights and recommendations: conduct key qualitative (e.g., strategy development, expert interviews, competitive benchmarking) and quantitative (e.g., market share, opportunity sizing) analyses.
- Leverage analyses into key trends and actionable insights around customer, competition and market related to the retail and home improvement
- Create presentations with actionable recommendations for review and approval by Loweโs executives.
- Utilize and enhance internal stakeholder/ change management relationship
- Source and analyze data for various process improvement efforts and to support recommendations to leadership
- Exposure and engagement across the Lowe’s Global Merchandising functions/teams: Private Brands, Global Vendor Support, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Trend & Design, and Product Activation Initiatives
Education And/or Experience
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Management, Analytics, Economics Project Management or closely related fields with expected graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024
- Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Excel, One Note and Project)
- Experience in project management, retail product development or merchandising, and/or retail
experience is a bonus
- Experience with Visio or other process mapping tools is a bonus, but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to contribute ideas under a shared vision and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm to work on collaborative, cross functional teams and employ personal strengths to complement the team
- Zest to learn about the business; gather and analyze information from a diverse set of sources to fully understand the situation
- Coachable mindset: inquisitive, solution-oriented, and receives feedback
Relevant internship and experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization

Pay Range for CA, CO, NJ, NY, WA: $18.00 – $50.00 per hour
