I. Job Summary:
The Vendor Compliance Analyst role focuses on driving medium-to long term improvements within Vendor Compliance. Functions of the role include generating vendor data analysis, drive Supplier On-time and Fill Rate performance, processing monthly vendor scorecard and chargeback, managing vendor inquiries, and building relationship with vendors and other key cross functional stakeholders within Lowe’s.
The successful candidate will be an individual who has the ability to identify and support strategic improvement initiatives for vendor compliance performance, while being able to dive deep into areas of opportunity and develop solutions and processes towards improvements. This associate will work cross-functionally with multiple technical and operational teams within Lowe’s Supply Chain organization.
Superior analytics and process improvement skills are necessary, and will be required in order to identify trends in vendor compliance and continuously drive improvements to vendor performance
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyze data, understand trends within the data and provide valuable and actionable insights regarding the data.
- Drive strategic initiative to improve supplier performance
- Define proactive compliance mechanism to drive inventory availability and supplier engagement
- Lead data driven projects from definition through interpretation and execution stages.
- Execute the vendor chargeback process and manage vendor inquiries regarding the process and chargebacks.
- Proactively analyze vendor data and identify and address issues
- Assist management with special projects and process improvements
- Liaise between Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting and Merchandising team to ensure resolve vendor issues quickly
- Partners with Merchandising, Supply Chain planning and Replenishment to improve vendor performance and provide teams with data and metrics to ensure vendor performance is considered in business decisions (i.e. Product Line Reviews)
- Prepares management level reports
III. Years of Experience
Bachelor’s Degree; Business or Related Field plus 5+ years of relevant experience
OR
Relevant work experience in retail merchandising, inventory planning, vendor performance management, assortment planning or forecasting roles for a total of 7-year experience in lieu of education
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree BBA, Bcom, Operations Research or Related Field
Primary Skills (must have)
- Experience with data analysis and providing insights about the data
- Experience in Data mining and visualization tools such as PowerBI, SQL, MS Access, VBA and Excel
- Experience managing small to medium-sized projects
- Experience working with Excel and other data/reporting tools
- Demonstrated experience in mining data from multiple systems via database analysis tools
- Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Prior project management experience
