As a Lead Engineer in Data Engineering team, your role is to provide technical strategy and direction in building world class enterprise data lake and analytic applications catering to various customer and operational analytic needs.
You will …
Own the translation of data and analytic requirements and functional needs into technical requirements working with global stakeholders.
Formulate architecture and designs (application & data) for business problems that are of high quality, scalable and cost efficient.
Own the data design and data pipeline development, along with establishing standards, frameworks and solution governance.
Plan and execute the implementation of solutions to ensure successful deployment and improved customer satisfaction
Evaluate, provide insights and recommendations on tools and technology strategy of analytic platforms and applications in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture teams
You will have
7-9 years of DW/BI/Analytics/IT experience with 4+ years of experience in building data processing applications using Hadoop
Expertise in one or more programming languages like Java, Scala or Python and in unix scripting.
Expertise in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Sqoop and SparkSQL.
Exposure or experience GCP components such as Cloud Data Flow, Cloud Data Proc, BigQuery and BigTable
Experience in various ingestion (batch & real time) and curation techniques for structured /unstructured data scaling models and algorithms on distributed environment
Experience in scaling data science models and algorithms on distributed environment
Expertise in data structures, distributed computing, manipulating and analyzing complex high-volume data from variety of internal and external sources
Expertise in storage and process optimization techniques in Hadoop and Spark.
Experience in using tools like Jenkins for CI, Git for version Control and Jira
Strong problem-solving, communication and articulation skills
Engineering degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
