Job Location: Bengaluru

The CISO organization protects the information assets of LSEG through managing risk, deploying effective security risk framework and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role will sit within the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Team which is part of Global Security Operations Centre.
The team and is responsible for ensuring that sensitive and confidential data detection and prevention controls are appropriate and in line with LSEG security policies. It is also responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline our support processes and enhancements that can be made in our systems.
The candidate will ideally have a technical background, with understanding of Data Loss Prevention and information classification. The role involves working with GSOC, Privacy, Legal and other teams.
The candidate will have knowledge of the DLP technologies and capabilities used in an enterprise, and increasingly cloud based environment.
Key Functions of the role:
  • Responsible for monitoring and responding to DLP incidents;
  • Appropriately prioritisation incidents based on impact and urgency of the incident.
  • Required to analyse and gain insight from large, complex datasets, focusing on investigating live issues and opportunities for change, development and improvement.
  • Analysis of incidents and related issues and opportunities in a wide range of underlying DLP technologies.
  • Be ready to articulate the results of your analysis to others in order to inform improvements to DLP rule sets, processes and systems.
  • Attention to detail, and an ability to spot trends, will be crucial.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have the following traits:
  • A broad understanding of security concepts; an interest and passion for Cyber Security.
  • An understanding of Data Leak Prevention concepts and controls desirable; experience working in a similar team a plus.
  • An analytical mindset; demonstrated ability to break down and analyse complex problems to gain insight using disparate and large-scale data sources.
  • An ability to effectively prioritise your work given conflicting demands.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills: articulating insight gained through data analysis to team members and those outside the team; making recommendations for next steps and remedial actions/improvements.
  • Showing consistently high energy levels; aspiring to make a significant difference over and above your core responsibilities.
  • Working within a large-scale organisation a plus; working as part of a team crucial.
  • Fast learner – Willing to expand skillset and rapidly understand new technologies
  • Practical application of lessons learned into the teamโ€™s practices
Beneficial skills, experience and certifications:
  • Security industry specific accreditations showing core understanding of information classification and/or data loss prevention.
  • Previous experience in finance industry / financial markets infrastructure and / or technology sector
  • Previous experience in handling security incidents
