Overview:

Ensure the Maintenance and Repair Operations (MRO) applications and processes function effectively for Lynden as informed by the unique needs of each Operating Company. Responsible for analyzing, improving, managing, implementing, and maintaining systems and processes that support MRO functions.

Responsibilities:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Liaison with Lynden Equipment Team, MRO leaders, IT and third parties to gather requirements, analyze and document workflows, processes and procedures and identify company’s needs related to maintenance system optimization, training delivery, management, reporting and ongoing process improvements.
Manage the performance of the applicable vendors as it relates to the vendor’s ongoing refinement of the application by identifying, documenting and articulating specific issues of functionality.
Be conversant in and facilitate throughout the organization the use of best practices for development of highly effective MRO systems. Serve as the subject matter expert for the MRO systems and business cases, providing design, and developing and managing training for personnel to ensure optimal use of systems and processes. Develop and maintain process manuals and training materials.
Manage the administration of the MRO system and provide functional support for day-to-day use. Areas include, but not limited to, establishing global parts lists to include price updates, provisioning users with appropriate access controls, coordinating upgrades, and troubleshooting functional issues with the vendor.
Ensure that Lynden takes advantage of warranty programs; develop and circulate reports from the system to maximize warranty benefits.
Develop and measure the effectiveness and impact of tools, resources, and systems by designing key metrics to maximize achievement of objectives. Assist with the development of analytics.
Coordinate with various Operating Companies to communicate all system and process information to appropriate stakeholders in an effective and timely manner.

Qualifications:


Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience
BA or BS in Business Administration or five years equivalent experience in a position that combines knowledge of information systems with maintenance operations, parts purchasing in a related industry and/or knowledge of transportation fleets. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Skills and Abilities
Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Powerpoint is required. Experience producing Tableau reports is preferred.
