Job Location: San Diego, CA
- Internship program will be onsite at least 2 days a week in San Diego, CA.

Lytx is the leader in video telematics, helping drivers and fleets improve safety and operational efficiency. In this exciting newly created internship role, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our innovative Data Engineering Team. You’ll work directly with our Data Engineers to design, implement and maintain streaming Data Pipeline frameworks, Data processing frameworks, data sharing capabilities; including inbound and outbound data sharing. The projects you work on will be based off of real client and product requirements and in real software development lifecycle setup.
You’ll Get To
- Work closely with our Data Engineering team to solve real world customer data requirements and data product enhancements
- Develop and deliver creative data solutions that enable Engineering, Data Science, Labs (forward engineering), and client intelligence and operations teams
- Participate in full software development lifecycle contributing to design, development, configuration aspects of the software development process
- Challenge yourself to learn new cloud technologies, languages/scripting tools, performance optimization, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
- Currently enrolled in a Development Boot Camp or an accredited 4 year University – Junior year Comp Sci students preferred!
- San Diego and surrounding area schools preferred
- Already located in San Diego for the 2023 summer
- Available to work 40 hours/week for a 10 week period over the 2023 summer
- Experience with modern frameworks such as Javascript/Python
- Experience with Object oriented programming languages such as Java
- Experience with one or more database technologies such as MySql, PosgrreSQL, SQL Server
- Experience with nosql database technologies such as Mongodb, Dynamodb
- Understanding of cloud data technologies (knowledge of AWS toolset is a plus)
- Knowledge with Infrastructure as Code tools and best practices such as Terraform is a plus
