Join our Technology team aligned to the Commodities and Global Markets group, as a DevOps Engineer. You will have a passion for product development and join a vibrant, global team that supports various applications, and many opportunities to continue to grow your career.
To succeed in this role, you will be someone who can take ownership of operational issues and perform both short-term resolution and development of preventive measures for the longer term. You’ll proactively monitor to maintain highest availability and performance of systems supported while also managing and responding to queries and issues reported by business users. You will also maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders.
As part of this role you will also get an opportunity to utilise your development skills to drive automation and improvements within the systems you support. To ensure full business coverage you’ll work on assigned shifts on weekdays, as part of a ‘follow-the-sun’ support model; and work rostered weekends.
You will have 4 to 9 years’ experience, with strong financial services experience using UNIX and SQL; with a strong problem solving and analytical mindset. Experience in Shell scripting is also regarded, with a great understanding of incident, change and problem management processes. It would also be advantageous but not required if you have experience working with Confluence, JIRA, Remedy or similar systems. Experience using JasperSoft, Pentaho, AWS and Splunk is also advantageous.
