Risk Surveillance – Trading Surveillance Business Analyst
Exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Business Analyst to join our Risk Management Group within our Enterprise Support Projects team and contribute to key Risk Projects within the Macquarie Group. In this role you will join an experienced team and will focus on the delivery of key Trading Surveillance initiatives.
You will bring with you prior experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Markets, preferably within Trade Surveillance function. Ideally, you will also have experience in projects implementation and, more specifically, in the implementation of buy-side trading monitoring systems and their associated business practices and operations.
The role will involve working with Risk Surveillance and business stakeholders, as well as colleagues in technology, operations, and other business groups. You will assess and define requirements, and contribute to the shaping and delivery of solutions for managing Macquarie’s external obligations, thus allowing the Risk Management Group to effectively manage risk.
As a member of the Projects and Change team, you will be responsible for:
- Business Analysis deliverables through all stages of a project lifecycle
- Working to deadlines, delivering to scope
- Contributing to communication and governance artefacts
- Maintaining an open and collaboratively dialogue with colleagues and stakeholders
- Communicating and contributing to the management of identified risks
You will bring with you:
- Business Analyst experience
- Previous experience in financial markets, ideally within the Trading Surveillance domain
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team, with stakeholders, but also in an independently self-driven

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
