Join Macquarie’s Commodity and Global Markets, Credit Markets Division as a Loan Closing and Operations Analyst.

In this role, where you will be part of a dynamic team that supports a portfolio of structured asset backed loans and the direct lending market. On a day-to-day basis, you will work directly with originators, credit risk, legal and other members of the Macquarie Group in the deal formation, structuring and approval phase of lending and structured transactions. Sitting on the trading floor, you will be immersed within the day-to-day business operations and have an opportunity to leverage your subject matter expertise in the leverage loans space alongside our sales and lending team.

In this role, you will deliver through a hands-on approach directly supporting the front office, drafting trade documents, working directly with clients, and assisting them throughout the lending process. You will have daily interaction with the front office and be responsible for seeing transactions end to end, ensuring deals are booked, documents are drafted and liaising with the back office and clients to ensure transactions are executed and settled on-time. You will also have daily interaction with external clients while you work through the document negotiation and drafting process alongside our legal team. Possessing a strong professional image and communication style will ensure that you are successful in this role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least three years of experience within the financial services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or other quantitative discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder and client management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Be process driven and flexible to changes in loan market
  • Great attention to detail

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with general loan administration/accounting experience, commercial orientation and understanding of business and risk-related issues
  • Previous experience drafting agreements and trade confirmations
  • An understanding of primary loan syndication and secondary loan trading and settlement processes for loan trades and trade claims
  • An understanding of the leveraged loan market and trade claim closing process
  • An understanding of credit agreements

Salary range for this position: $81,000 – $143,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
