We believe that due to limited resources on the planet, there is a need to look out for an alternative to solve our problems and that another side is space. This option is viable only if we have low-cost and sustainable access to space. Manastu Space is working with the exact vision of reducing the cost of access to space.
At Manastu Space Technologies, we are working on the concept of monopropellant thruster based on hydrogen peroxide: 30% higher specific impulse and 40 times less toxic (non-carcinogenic) as compared to regular hydrazine-based mono-propellant thrusters, which can hence be a potential green alternative to the current monopropellant propulsion technology.
The key areas in which we are currently working on are the development of a high-temperature catalyst bed that goes into the combustion chamber and facilitates combustion. The catalyst development entails the development of high-temperature ceramics & coating of ceramic with active metal nanoparticles.

About The Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Working on assembly integration and testing of high-pressure tubing and pressure vessels
- Working on manufacturing, assembly integration and testing a small rocket engine and thrust stand
- Studying blueprints and planning pipe systems and related equipment installations
- Assembling and welding pipe components and systems
- Assembling components as per assembly drawings, and any additional specifications provided by the engineering team
- Conducting quality inspection of manufactured parts
- Managing the inventory, restocking, maintenance and repair of components
Qualifications And Experience Required
- Knowledge and experience in basic manufacturing
- Basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer
- Ability to carry out assemblies as per drawing & process sheet
- Knowledge of fits & tolerances given on drawing
- Knowledge of measuring instruments (Tape, Vernier, Micrometer, Height gauge, Filler gauge, etc.) will be an added advantage
- Knowledge and experience in 3D model software like SolidWorks
