The expected ENTRY pay range is $77,480 to $90,324 annually, based on the candidate’s equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. We Require
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Five years of experience in Power BI Desktop development of reports and visuals
  • Job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
  • Seven or more years of experience developing and supporting in the Microsoft stack, for example, SQL stored procedures, building SSIS packages, and developing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Three or more years of experience scripting in PowerShell, C#, and extracting API Data
  • Experience in SSIS for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) packages
Job Contributions
  • Develop reports and visuals in Power BI Desktop, and keep up with tool features and updates
  • Design well-developed data models that provide the best performance, reliability, and accuracy; and maintain and improve upon existing data models
  • Query Power BI using PowerShell and leveraging the use of APIs and JSON files
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures, following best practices and SQL tuning
  • Mentor peers and provide support to County developers
  • Develop SSIS packages and SQL jobs
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide sound solutions to the management team in a reasonable time frame
  • Create new and maintain SSRS report
Working Conditions
  • Alternate work schedules available, after initial training period, with possibility of hybrid telework schedule for 90% of the time in the state of Arizona
  • Off-hour support may be required
  • May require driving to various work locations in the metropolitan Phoenix area
