The Opportunity

Reporting to and working under the direction of the Head of Customer Acquisition, the Business Analyst is a key member of the marketing team assisting on all measures of marketing program measurement including but not limited to data analysis, reporting, and research projects tied to marketing initiatives. You will help analyze current initiatives, funnel data, and marketing processes to drive positive business outcomes. The Marketing Business Analyst will help us understand marketing performance at Haven Life by providing meaningful insights to help us optimize and scale. You will work closely with Haven Life’s Marketing and Distribution teams to help analyze current marketing funnel data and processes to support changes to key marketing initiatives and product features in order to
increase sales and revenue.

Position Location

• If currently within a commutable distance to New York, NY, position location will be 2 days a week in office
• If not within a commutable distance to New York, NY willing to consider a 100% remote work location

The Impact

• Analyze and optimize marketing spend & campaigns based on advanced analysis of data
• Deliver concise, clear, and actionable presentations to decision-makers
• Translate complex business questions into problems that can be solved through data to drive growth and profitability
• Use data analytics and reporting tools to deliver analytics to achieve pre-designed marketing goals
• Explore data and determine the value and meaning of that data in how it relates to the marketing problems we are looking to solve
• Run daily, weekly or monthly reports for our various partnerships, marketing channels, and specific campaigns.
• Work with other team members to help develop roadmaps and communicate these to key internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of experience in data and analytics in lieu of degree)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a business analyst or marketing analyst role

• 3+ years’ experience with SQL, R or similar tools with the ability to write complex queries

• 1+ years’ experience with BI tools such as Tableau

• An aptitude for creating repeatable processes that result in actionable data

• Strong information organization skills

• Experience in an agile environment and for a consumer start-up preferred

• Entrepreneurial-minded and driven self-starter

• Interest in financial services a plus
