Overview:
The People Analyst will be a member of the People Data & Analytics team which provides data, analytics, and strategic decision support across multiple business units in regions across Mastercard.
This individual will bring experience in analytics and program management to enable data-driven decisions about talent at Mastercard. Competitive candidates will be detail-oriented, execution-focused, and accomplished with identifying opportunities to introduce consistency & scale to analytical outputs within a matrixed organization.

Role
o First point of contact for operational reporting & metrics requests from stakeholders across multiple functions globally
o Collaborates with Financial Planning & Analysis CoE to support monthly headcount reporting & analysis
o Partners closely with Senior Data Analysts within the broader People Data & Analytics team to identify opportunities to create scalable reporting solutions & visualizations
o Sees beyond requestors’ asks to understand the root query or challenge for which data are being requested
o Validates and enforces people data integrity in collaboration with Data management & HR Systems teams
o Provides program management support for performance management, talent reviews, employee experience surveys, and other key activities as warranted
o Demonstrates exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data

All About You
Essential
o Experience in working with organizational/workforce data
o Strong ability to see the forest for the trees, and implement creative strategies to reduce ad-hoc request volume and increase value
o Excel experience including creating pivot tables, conditional formulas and formatting, VLOOKUPs, and charts/graphs
o Experience communicating technical results to non-technical audiences
o Ability to collaborate with peers and cross functional teams, working across multiple time zones
o Flexible and responsive, with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority
o Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to work within the confines of data governance and privacy standards
o Experience operating in an environment with handling multiple priorities at any given time
o Experience with querying databases (SQL preferred)

Desirable
o Familiarity with HR information systems (Workday preferred)
o Experience in relationship building across large scale organizations
o Experience in handling data using tools such as SQL or R, or Python
o Familiarity with ETL tool capabilities and utility (e.g., Alteryx, Informatica)
o Experience in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI or Domo preferred)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
