Job Title
Analyst, Analytics & Metrics
The People Analyst will be a member of the Solutioning team within Workforce Analytics and Innovation which provides data, analytics, and strategic decision support across multiple business units in regions across Mastercard.
This individual will bring experience in analytics and automation to enable data-driven decisions about talent at Mastercard. Competitive candidates will be detail-oriented, execution-focused, and accomplished with identifying opportunities to introduce consistency & scale to analytical outputs within a matrixed organization.
Role
- Exploring and implementing new ways to automate systems which includes designing and testing automated workflows and processes.
- Partners closely with Senior Data Analysts and Consulting team within the Workforce Analytics and Innovation team to identify opportunities to create scalable reporting solutions & visualizations.
- Sees beyond requestors’ asks to understand the root query or challenge for which data are being requested.
- Validates and enforces people data integrity in collaboration with Data management & HR Systems teams.
- Demonstrates exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data.
- Collaborates with internal technically focused teams (from other BU’s) for multiple dependent deliveries.
Essential
All About You
- Experience managing and analysing structured and unstructured data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python.
- Familiarity with ETL tool capabilities and utility (e.g., Alteryx, Informatica).
- Experience in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, and Domo preferred).
- working across cultures with sensitivity, partnering, driving with a focus on business impact. Ability to collaborate with peers and cross functional teams, working across multiple time zones.
- build client-ready visualization dashboards using tools like tableau with some support from senior team members.
- Flexible and responsive, with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority.
- Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within the confines of data governance and privacy standards.
- Minimum 2-3 years of in-depth experience with working on Tableau, Alteryx , Python and SQL.
Desirable
- Experience using HRIS tools (Workday preferred)
- Experience in relationship building across large scale organizations
- Experience in working with organizational/workforce data
- Strong ability to see the forest for the trees, and implement creative strategies to reduce ad-hoc request volume and increase value
- Experience communicating technical results to non-technical audiences
