We are seeking an Associate Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Position Description

Responsible for reporting customer licensure related processes and data pulls. Data projects for compliance with state and federal regulations around customer licensing using multiple database platforms, analytics, reporting and metrics in collaboration with stakeholders. Business Intelligence and Data Engineering is required to build and interpret critical analytics, reporting and trends to transform data into meaningful insights that enable the success of our internal and external customers. This role will develop and execute processes to build and govern complex data elements from various data sources both internal and external to McKesson primarily focused on customer license data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, research, and resolve business process issues and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Identifies and reviews opportunities for continuous improvement; makes recommendations and implements solutions. execution, data analysis, reporting, project management, ongoing milestone tracking, communication, and key performance metrics.
  • Analyzes Customer data risks & opportunities for improving accuracy and enrichment of the data.
  • Develops reports both recurring, ad hoc and creates dashboards for internal customers.
  • Provide the required data analysis and reporting to support the Customer Licensure Team to utilize for daily tasks.
  • Design and create reports to support key licensure data to fulfill internal and external customer requests.
  • Designs, develop, and publish automated processes enabling data to be available for various stakeholders of the Master Data Management organization.
  • Presents the business with opportunities for improvements; works collaboratively with key internal stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience. May have degree or equivalent

Critical Skills/ Minimum Requirements

  • Experience 0 to 2 years’ industry experience as a business analyst or similar role, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience with data analytics or computer science required.
  • Ability to understand database relationships to be able to pull data from multiple sources.
  • Knowledge of US healthcare industry and/or experience with healthcare data sets a plus.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to innovate projects that impact Master Data, external teams, and customers
  • Initiative and the ability to work well independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to apply strong business acumen to distinguish the “big picture” objectives and specific details
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, software, and processes
  • Ability to problem solve and deliver insights and recommendations using data and analysis
  • Experience with Tableau proficiency (creating/maintaining workbook repository and to develop dashboards for key metrics) a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office products (Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUPs), Power BI, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with Tableau or Snowflake a plus
  • Experience with BI programming language (SQL, R, Python, …etc. a plus)
  • Working Knowledge of SQL data pulls using Oracle, TOAD, MS Access
  • Strong statistical and mathematical aptitude preferred
  • Ability to frame issues, identify problems, and assertively seek solutions
  • Knowledge of or experience with CRM (Salesforce) and Oracle a plus.
  • Manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Creative and open to innovative analytic approaches
  • High sense of urgency with ability to multi-task, work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Good communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 2+ years relevant experience
