CURRENT NEED

We are recruiting for a Seniors Business Analyst, Generics IT Solutions to support the US Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services business areas specific to Generics IT solutions and integrated business process areas.

SUMMARY

Will need to work collaboratively with the Principal Architect, Lead Architect and Development Leader in Generics IT Solution team, in addition to solution teams in McKesson Technology areas including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Finance, and Data & Analytics. This role is responsible for partnering with the Generics Community Pharmacy business team on road mapping, business requirements elicitation, and solution design.

Position Description

Core member of Generics IT application development team responsible for delivery of new functionality to support the end-to-end Generics business process

In partnership with other team members, oversees the design and development of functionality that address business functional requirements.

Confirms assumptions and the recommended approach with Architects, Business SMEs, and Solution managers.

Partners with other team members and McKesson IT stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and early life support of service changes.

Advise the business and help define optimal solutions for the combined US Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services business areas specific to Generics solutions and integrated business process areas.

Advise the business and help define solutions for the US Pharma Generics, with a focus on the Community Pharmacy segment

Partners with other team members, MSP and McKesson IT stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and early life support of service changes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system design weaknesses, drives business process re-engineering efforts with key business partners and other McKesson Technology solution teams
  • Responsible for scope related decisions and draws conclusions related to design needs and decisions throughout Agile PI phases
  • Conducts projects requiring specialized knowledge of IT development while contributing to the evolving business requirements.
  • Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
  • Works on complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative.
  • In partnership with architects, evaluates and selects from existing and emerging technologies to determine solutions.
  • Assist leadership in building out systems, architectures, and platforms.
  • Ensure that developed processes are repeatable and scalable.
  • Can work across solution teams to ensure proper system/data integration
  • Participates in collaborative system and data design sessions with the user community, technical architecture resources, and development resources.
  • Completes project activities on time and within budget, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager.
  • Conducts interviews, fact-finding, and independent research to design creative, progressive IT solutions for business problems.
  • Guides and advises less-experienced Business Analysts. Senior BA assigned as Lead on a project ensures other BA’s assigned to the project are completing their deliverables of high quality and on-time.
  • Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
  • Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to define and document scope, requirements, and technical specifications within an agile framework
  • Conduct gap analysis, participate in solutioning discussions, support QA/UAT testing and engage with stakeholders to determine technology/system needs.
  • Ensures end-to-end traceability of requirements is complete. Competent to work at the highest technical capacity on most phases of the business systems analysis.
  • Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies.
  • Documents, tracks, and resolves issues related to data quality. Contributes to the design and mapping of data conversion strategies.

Minimum Requirements.

Typically has 7+ years of relevant experience


Critical Skills

4+ years in business analysis, requirements definition, and building systems solutions.

Solid understanding of the Pharmaceutical Generics business process.

Experience with SDLC and working with development team through the process

Experience with custom application delivery in an Agile framework


Additional knowledge & Skills:

Familiarity with cloud native technology concepts integrating

Solid understanding of the US Pharma Generics business process.

Experience with design of integrations with SAP products

Healthcare data and data privacy experience a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; timely communication with clear expectations. An active listener and clear communicator; can lead by influence

Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems

Highly adept at working collaboratively across multiple business and technical functions to achieve results


Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
