McKesson’s Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS) Decision Intelligence (DI) team is looking for a Senior Business Data Analyst to support strategic data initiatives. DI team focuses on facilitating data driven change and creating business value through data and advanced analytics. The successful candidate will have the perfect blend of business acumen, strong analytical skills along with stakeholder engagement skills to deliver innovative digital solutions that enables effective decision making.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop understanding of PSaS business function, workflow and the business stakeholder needs
- Closely partner with the business stakeholders and the SMEs to gather requirement, improvements, and user experiences/feedbacks of the DI data products
- Act as a bridge between the technology domain and the business domain by helping to articulate business needs to the technology developers for key data & technology initiatives
- Collaborate on the implementation of data analytics, perform complex analytics, interpret data and/or existing reports, and use findings to clarify requirements and support solution development and architecture
- Work as a member in interdisciplinary team to be able to build and execute analytics work plans; develop and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners to drive insights and action
- Identify, analyze, research and document business processes related to pricing, contracts, sales performance, supply chain etc. and make appropriate recommendations for data and analytics solutions for prioritized use cases
- Ensure stability, quality, and transparency in all aspects of the data product governance
- Ensure that product and services are designed, delivered, and maintained in accordance with applicable information security, privacy and regulatory requirements
Critical Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a data analyst, business intelligence analyst, market research analyst, financial analyst, statistician, preferably with product-centric knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, applied mathematics, machine learning, or a related data centric-technical field. Master’s degree preferred
- Deep knowledge of business analytics and associated practices relevant to the healthcare/pharmaceutical/biotech industries
- Strong business acumen, presentation, and communication skills; ability to translate business needs to technical requirements in clear manner; ability to manage ambiguity
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and build partnership with both business and technological stakeholders
- Have intellectual curiosity and a strong passion for innovation
- Strong experience with SQL, data extraction methodologies, relational and dimensional databases methods
- Expertise in applying data analysis, data science, BI reporting and other analytics frameworks and techniques to influence business decisions
- Experience working in Agile framework
Additional Requirements
- Industry experience in Healthcare or Supply chain
- Experience with Lean-Agile Mindset and Product Management practices
- Experience working with large-scale data implementation
- Familiarity with a data visualization tools: e.g. Tableau, Power BI etc.
- Experience with cloud computing data platforms: e.g. Azure, AWS etc.
- Understanding of AI/ML machine learning and predictive modeling techniques
Education:
Master’s degree with business/quantitative focus (e.g., information science, computer science, social sciences, physical sciences, cognitive science, engineering, or statistics) or equivalent work experience
