Job Location: Temple, TX
Analyze front line data relevant to the development and execution of the customer pricing strategy for the McLane Foodservice and McLane Grocery segments. Help create the message the company wants to project with pricing and increase the company’s competitiveness and profitability. Utilize quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods and translate pricing data into actionable profit-enhancing strategies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Collaborate with multiple teams including Sales, Finance and Operations.
- Develop data models relevant to pricing strategy.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters.
- Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential outcome of different pricing strategies on profitability.
- Create interactive statistical and data driven models.
- Develop forward looking financial statements and forecasts.
- Track and measure pricing KPIs and defining actionable decision insights on pricing.
- Develop reports to track & monitor the pricing projects and assess pricing effectiveness.
- Achieve organizational value during the life of the contract by ensuring all appropriate fees and/or adjustments are actioned.
- Drive focus for the organization on value (vs. cost plus) pricing models.
- Prepare cost/pricing proposals and analyze proposal submissions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on accounting, economics, statistics, finance, or other area relevant to role of position. Master’s degree in business or related degree preferred.
- Exceptional work experience may be considered in substitute of a master’s degree.
- Three or more years’ experience in analyzing pricing strategies and forecasting revenue and market share preferred.
- In depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
- Ability to understand and interpret industry trends and develop dynamic pricing tools.
- Ability to dig into detail, manage complexity and drive decision making.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Tableau and Alteryx experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and data sources.
- Ability to work comfortably with and gain the trust of senior leaders in the company.
