Job Description
The External Data Acquisition Operations team works tirelessly in providing the most reliable external data to further advance critical clinical studies. The team is seeking a skilled External Data Acquisition Operations (EDAO) Analyst II, ideally with clinical studies support experience to join their rapidly growing team.
Our Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance team push the boundaries of global healthcare through research and innovation. Through clinical trials and surveillance, we ensure the safety and efficacy of our existing and pipeline products to produce safe, effective, innovative medicine.
The External Data Acquisition Operations Analyst II will coordinate and participate in the following activities:

Create, review and get appropriate approval on external data format specifications documents such as Interchange Format Agreements with new vendors and /or with existing vendors/ New data types and protocol specific addendums for each study/data type.

Perform testing based on set up documents which includes coordinating with vendors, IT and Clinical Data Testing group.

Review external data file issues and communicate back to vendors until resolved, as applicable.

Support Vendor Subject Matter Experts by attending meetings and escalating vendor related challenges.

Support Therapy Area Program managers by escalating timeline and other study related issues as it pertains to external data deliverables.

Participate in process improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and special projects, mentors and trains team members as applicable.

Supports audits and inspections as needed.
Education Requirement:
-
B.A. or B.S. Degree, preferably in Computer Science related discipline and/or Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biological Sciences, or health care related discipline.
Experience and Skills:
-
An understanding of the clinical development process.
-
Knowledge of database structures and available tools to manage, extract, and report data is preferred.

Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate with both the technical and business areas and external vendors.

Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with different functional areas.

Strong sense of urgency and customer focus.
-
Desire and ability to learn new processes and technologies.
Preferred:
-
Experience in data management, medical research, or database design and development.
