This role is for an Data Analyst – Data & Analytics
You would collaborate at any level, co-ordinating teams or groups of related analysts. Assist, take forward and influence analysis for data implementation, visualisation and data science, architecture. Remove blockers, be a catalyst for analytics across teams. Be responsible for the accuracy and quality of data and analysis, and of how data and analysis are used proactively share knowledge and promote a data-driven culture. Apply tools and techniques for data analysis. Summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Provide understanding of relevant data sources, tools and systems. Use appropriate approaches for verifying and validating data and analysis. Influence senior stakeholders over data approaches. Identify, organize, and analyse relevant datasets in support of ongoing projects and engagements.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and carry out Quality Control of data pipelines.
- Design data visualization tools for evaluating and summarizing insights and research results. Communicate relevant, compelling stories using the most appropriate medium. Provide recommendations at a tactical and strategic level. Present analysis and visualisations in clear ways to communicate intricate messages.
- Develop new code and adapt existing code to meet project needs.
- Anticipate how constraints might change and know where to challenge or remove constraints. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of security and data privacy.
- Collaborate with team members and across the Data teams to complete analysis tasks.
- Build Epic, User stories, Task using Agile methodology, using Jira & Confluence.
- Demonstrate skill in a number of data visualisation tools and techniques. You can apply standards and best practices to present, communicate and disseminate data appropriately.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification
Knowledge & Skills:
- At least 2 to 3 years of hand’s on data analytics or data science experience.
- Strong Python coding skills for data management, visualization, and basic modelling including experience with standard data science packages (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, sklearn)
- Strong communication & comprehension skills for effective interactions with stakeholders as well as peers and project colleagues.
- Solid technical depth/understanding in at least one Data Science area (Implementation of ETL/Algorithms, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, Big Data infrastructure) and bring an eagerness to learn other areas. Background in statistics and mathematics would be desirable.
- Skilled in data modelling, connecting to various data sources building and converting business rules to technical requirements/sequencing.
- Skilled in PySpark, SQL query writing, be able to decipher moderate & lengthy SQL code using relevant code editor.
- Metadata management and building data, analytics catalogs.
- Application of data security, data privacy and governance within the solution/platform.
- Logical & creative thinking.
Good to have
- Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse knowledge.
- Knowledge and exposure to Regulatory processes like Information Security, Data Protection, etc.).
- Onshore/Client site working experience.
Experience:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
Educational Qualification:
- Preferably should have Technical/Quantitative/Science Graduation degree with specialization in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or related discipline.
- Data, Data Analysis, Analytics and Business Intelligence certification would be an add on.
