JR8968 Data Science Staff Engineer
Solid State Drive (SSD) Product Engineering: Data Engineer
We are hiring an experienced Data Engineer to take ownership of our SSD test data pipeline. As part of our team, you will be responsible for extracting SSD test data from various sources across multiple SSD programs and transforming it into a more accessible unified format for our data consumers. Your tasks will include maintaining and optimizing our distributed Extract Transform Load (ETL) system; timely evaluation and fulfillment of data reporting requests; writing and maintaining data auditing scripts; and writing and maintaining data extraction tools. You will frequently need to work with other teams to understand their data needs. The ideal candidate will:
- Have 3+ years of experience in a data engineering role
- Be highly skilled in SQL and Python, as well as proficient in C
- Have experience with using Docker and Redis
- Be highly knowledgeable about distributed computing with experience developing and maintaining distributed systems for data extraction and transformation
- Have knowledge of Google Protobuf, MinIO, and Snowflake
- Have experience with unit testing
- Be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and complete them in a timely manner
- Have excellent problem-solving skills
- Be thorough and detail-oriented
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, and Git
