Job Responsibilities The Global Supply Chain (GSC) team at Micron is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual for the role of Global Supply Chain Engineer. The role is an opportunity to utilize his or her analytical, business, and process improvement skills to simplify and transform Micronโs supply chain. Our rotation program will allow you to learn and gain experience in multiple areas while exploring career opportunities within the supply chain team. While in this program you will be exposed to Micron’s end-to-end Supply Chain. You will get to apply your supply chain knowledge by working in various departments of supply chain like Supply Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Master data, Business Intelligence, Manufacturing & Operations, Sales, Inventory Management and Analytics. In the role you will be cross pollinating with different teams and units of Micron like Finance, Corporate Strategy, Business Units and Information Technology. Throughout the rotation you will be trained and mentored by industry professionals and our global supply chain leaders. How the Program Works 1. Typically 3 years allow 3 functional rotations, 6 months of orientation in customer facing roles followed by the first rotation which will be of 12 months. Each rotation will be of 12 months. 2. At the end of all rotations, along with leadership your full-time role be determined Micron Confidential Micron Confidential 3. As a rotation participant you will be considered a full-time employee which includes full benefits 4. Any 3 possible functions you will work in:
i. Global Supply Management (GSM): GSM team members orchestrate end to end supply chain execution activities to a common customer service level, cycle time and cost goals. GSM has multiple verticals such as: Tactical Supply Planning, Material Planning, Order Promising, Supply Chain Engineering, Supply Planning, Inventory and Service Level Management, Scalable Inventory Management System, Operations Research, and Advanced Analytics
ii. Integrated Business Planning (IBP): IBP team members ensure capital, manufacturing, roadmap, and demand plans are integrated and unified in driving to achieve Micronโs strategic and financial goals. IBP has multiple verticals like: Sales and Operations Planning, Demand Planning,
iii. Order Management (OM): Order Management Organization has multiple functions like: Customer Sales Operations, Hub Operations, Order Fulfilment, Enterprise customer master data, Return and Sample order management. Here we aim to make the order process as efficient as possible and ensure we take full ownership and responsibility for solving any customer issues. This will require you to build and maintain a network of contacts with internal teams to help support and ultimately provide an exceptional experience for Micronโs customers. OM team member proactively monitors/analyzes sales forecast to identify gaps between supply and demand.
iv. Digital Supply Chain (DSC): DSC team member creates solutions using systems/process to orchestrate supply chain in Micron more efficiently. Our model analysts build supply chain system models, business process analysts work on process improvements, Enterprise Master Data (EMD) team creates and maintains product, capacity and material data using business rules and ensure data quality & consistency across various systems, business intelligence teams help in reporting key metrics and processes.
v. Product Operations Management: POM team member executes planning, ensures delivery of customer samples & coordinates engineering resource requirements. Owns the processes and coordinates tool and process development that enables Micron to deliver samples on time to customer commits as well as internal engineering needs.
General responsibilities can include but are not limited to: 1. Design and implement business processes and/or plans with internal and external customers 2. Identify process inefficiencies and collaborate with key partners to drive continuous improvement efforts to address the gaps 3. Actively collaborate with customers to arrive at aligned business decisions 4. Highlight and drive resolution to planning issues; gaps between roadmap strategy, manufacturing capability, and market demands 5. Build optimization models on large data sets 6. Be responsible for and validate master data completeness and accuracy 7. Analyze data and be able to summarize and present trends to partners 8. Analyze and research integrated business planning technology and solutions 9. Understand the interaction of Supply Chain technology solutions associated applications used within Micron (i.e. Blue Yonder – SPO, Kinaxis – Rapid Response, Cognos, MICAP, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, APO-DP, etc.) Micron Confidential Micron Confidential 10. Education Requirement: โข MBA and/or masterโs in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management or Supply Chain major โข Bachelors criteria for each supply chain department: o GSM, IBP and POM: Preferrable Bachelorโs in mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering. APICS Certifications like CSCP, CPIM will be a plus. Internships where you were exposed to advanced supply or demand planning is recommended. Advanced ability to work in spreadsheets and comfortable handling and manipulating large datasets. A high level of amenity in working with numbers with advanced data analytics knowledge and skills will be plus. o OM: Internship experience where exposure to ERP, CRM, Salesforce tools etc are nice to have. o DSC: Bachelorโs in engineering/technology. Other Requirements: โข Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation โข Ability to work effectively in a team environment and possesses excellent interpersonal skills NCG = New College Graduate (students with masters, PGs, PhDs and fellowship degree)
Work Location: Hyderabad Shift: 6 AM – 3 PM or 2 PM – 11 PM or 9 AM โ 6 PM (varies with each rotation and the choice of department)
