Micronโs Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence Innovation team is growing and searching for exceptional and innovative data scientists. In this position, you will be enabling advanced AI algorithms, working on multidisciplinary projects in end-to-end teams from different geographic locations to develop, prototype, and deploy artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions into business, engineering, and manufacturing processes globally across Micron. You will have the opportunity to identify and enable state-of-art algorithms and solutions to challenging problems, constantly learn new technologies and creatively apply/deliver solutions to global operations to enable Micron to continue to lead in this competitive landscape.
Primary Responsibility
- Explore, develop and deploy data science techniques employed from Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI for tabular, image, video and text data with supervised/unsupervised/semi supervised learning, graph/topology-based analytics and perform thorough analysis to explain the outcome to discover insightful patterns in semiconductor manufacturing data (labelled, unlabelled, unbalanced, high dimensional)
- Drive innovation across teams with advanced AI algorithms and technologies and build innovative solutions in partnership with internal/external teams to enable breakthrough technologies as relevant for the business needs.
- Interact with product, process, operations and/or service teams to identify questions and issues for data analyses and experiments.
- Develop and code algorithms / programs and/or automate processes to extract / prepare / analyze large data sets
- Interpret and communicate insights and findings to cross functional and senior leadership teams.
- Work closely with Information Technology and Technical Solutions teams on data management by taking an idea, accessing and preparing the necessary data, and working with other data scientists to create machine learning models to integrate them into an application with an intuitive user interface, or into pre-existing systems, and demonstrate successful use cases and wins.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge in concepts and implementation of AI, ML, DL, optimization algorithms, statistics, modelling and simulation, experience with stacking/ensembling methods, model performance analysis, explainability methods, parameter search and optimization.
- Expert knowledge in feature engineering, dimensionality reduction for labeled and unlabeled data sets, handling imbalance, intelligent representative sampling, data augmentation methods for numerical/image data and continuous learning.
- Expert programming skills in Python/R, experience in ML/DL framework (TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch/Sonnet/Chainer), experience with pySpark/SparkR programming, experience in big data, cloud platforms and ML Ops tools and methods.
- Expertise to identify state-of-art algorithms, enhance existing, innovate new algorithms and implement breakthrough technologies suitable for Micronโs semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, exposure to research and development and expertise to turn ideas to products
- Strong understanding of data engineering and IT infrastructure
- Passionate about Test, Product, System, Design and Smart Manufacturing
- Results-oriented with a growth mindset and strong dedication to identify and implement improvement opportunities
- Strategically focused, impact oriented, highly organized and adaptable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education
- Masters /Ph.D. in one or more of the following areas: Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields of study
