Job Description: Financial Data Analyst (Tampa, FL)
· Working collaboratively with internal key business stakeholders to maintain a strong working relationship and a best in class approach to proactive exception management
· Identify opportunities to improve process flows leveraging LEAN processes and identifying any opportunities for automation
· Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding client, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
· Conduct annual periodic reviews of existing procedural documentation to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
Knowledge/Experience:
Experience in business analysis within fast paced operations team
Demonstrated experience of optimization in processes (legal/regulatory adherence an advantage)
Strong knowledge of the Client environment, understanding of products and services offered preferred
Proven ability to interpret, anticipate and implement change
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively
Willingness to own an issue and bring it to completion
Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Achieving/ Driving Results: Analytical skills for workflow, process and systems analysis
Execution-focused, overcomes obstacles and minimizes bureaucracy
Qualifications:
· 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Advance Excel or Power BI.
- Prior Banking/Financial exp. Is a huge plus.
- Preferable cash and trade operations experience & knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfortable with data entry
- Attention to detail
- Ability to produce high quality work under rigid time constraints.
- Excellent client relationship skills, as will be having daily interaction
- Proficient PC skills (MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, Access a plus)
- Candidates must be able to perform their duties in a dynamic, fast paced work setting and be able to exercise flexibility under the daily rigors.
- Must understand the importance of superior customer service, accuracy in execution, task follow through and have the ability to work as a member of a high performance work team
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience / Degree in Finance, Accounting, and Business Admin. Or equivalent Banking/Financial are highly preferred.
