What’s The Role?
The Tableau developer will proactively engage with customers to assess exiting and upcoming business needs and maintain regular communication. The individual will support the integration of Tableau dashboards into web-based business applications leveraging knowledge and experience to develop, create, modify, and produce dashboards and other data visualizations. To analyze, design, create technical specifications, code, test, troubleshoot, and support report development for Global HR.

Your day-to-day activities will include
- Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
- Development of dashboards that support customer requirements that can be integrated into Web based applications
- Administration, management, and operation of Tableau Server
- Experience in Publishing & Scheduling workbooks to Tableau Server.
- Maintain Tableau Server organization, including project design; roles & permissions; scalability; data access; performance monitoring; subscriptions and alerts; and other aspects as needed
- Set up, extend and maintain self-serve environment
- Manage extracts and refresh schedules
- Provide administration and technical support for the Tableau Enterprise wide implementation
- Strong understanding of Tableau Server implementation & administration processes and best practices
- Working with the Technical Delivery Manager and senior program leadership to deliver technology platform which meet’s the business needs.
- Participates in QA testing, liaising with other project team members and being responsive to client’s needs, all with an eye on details in a fast paced environment.
- Perform the analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation for the Global HR development projects and tasks
- Provide 3rd level support on all Tableau reporting related issues
- Develop, implement, maintain, and document standards and guidelines
What Knowledge, Skills & Experience We Need
- Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Tableau report and dashboard creation and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of core: RDBMS such as SQL, Web, and OLAP
- Experience with developing Tableau dashboard reports on HANA preferred
- Knowledge or experience in HANA modelling is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Solid understanding and experience creating database-driven report templates and dashboards, as well as modifying existing report templates and dashboards
- Desire to take proactive ownership of the accuracy and timeliness
- Desire to work with colleagues to design the most effective data visualizations in reports and dashboards that identify trends and unlock key insights.
- Highly collaborative team player who is focused, self-motivated, detail oriented, accurate, and flexible able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines.
- Proficiency in writing advanced SQL queries.
- Good communication and data presentation skills
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
- Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
