About this opportunity.
Working with Monotype’s global finance and enterprise business systems teams, you will report to our US-based finance systems lead developer in support of Monotype’s ERP business systems landscape. In this role you will be a subject matter expert for our enterprise data hub where data is aggregated, transformed, transported, and stored. You will also be responsible for making this data accessible to people and systems who need the information to streamline continuous changes within the business and process landscape. This is a highly dynamic, cross-functional role and the right candidate will need to be a self-starter, team player and have a passionate love for data to succeed.
How you will make an impact (Responsibilities):
- Organizing and transforming data into comprehensible structures.
- Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Support existing infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
- Work with front-end development teams to support the integrations between enterprise data hub and other business systems (ERP, e-commerce, etc.) within the enterprise landscape.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders and assist them with data-related technical issues.
- Monitoring of database systems for data quality and removing corrupt data.
- Support the reporting needs of business users.
- Performing data validation and support quality control measures to ensure the continued success of company programs.
- Participate in other special projects, as required.
What we’re looking for (Desired Profile):
- 4+ years of in-depth knowledge of database systems required.
- Strong Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, C#, and .Net/Java.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL query language, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Data ETL (Extract Transform Load) process experience for moving data.
- Understanding of data warehouse design patterns and best practices.
- Familiarity with the creation and consumption of JSON, SOAP, REST APIs.
- Demonstrated experience in middleware, preferably MuleSoft.
- Excited to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with data engineering.
- High levels of attention to detail, critical thinking, and responsibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent or fluent English skills (written and oral).
- Flexibility to collaborate with direct team during US business hours.
