Job Location: Corona, CA
The Data Analyst will help evolve the breadth and depth of scan and panel data analysis. This person will help maintain and develop solutions used by several departments to enable better decision making. This role will involve working with data across numerous lines of business, undertaking in-depth quantitative analysis, deliver data products that drive key decisions, and communicating directional insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical, analytical, and category background.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in the application of category management principles to distribute customer/consumer insights using Nielsen, IRI, or other scan or panel data assets
- Use tools and programming languages like Power BI, SQL, R, Python, and many other internal tools to work efficiently at scale
- Assist in driving category development principles with key customers to differentiate our client from competition to attain increased distribution, space and display resulting in increased sales and profit
- Assist in the management of the sales planning process to identify trends and review key indicators; track opportunity gaps and highlight causal factors
- Manage multiple projects and timelines while delivering updates to key stakeholders, including communicate results with technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and written
Position Requirements:
- BS/BA required
- CPG experience in sales analytics
- High level of expertise in the use of Microsoft Office, data visualization tools
- Proficiency in Nielsen Syndicated Data, and shelf management software and principles
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities and problems; use information resources to construct actionable forecasts and solutions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing to a widely diverse audience to ensure information is clearly presented
- Technical and comprehensive knowledge of Category Development tools and methodologies is a plus
