This role sits within the Investment Banking Division’s (IBD) Management team.
Role Summary
As the IBD Business Intelligence and Analytics Professional, you will be responsible for connecting business, industry and performance data to generate relevant, actionable insights and make strategic and tactical recommendations. Partnering closely with IBD Management and Coverage Group Heads across the business to provide insights that help drive business results. Helping business leaders across Investment Banking stack rank key analytics that tie to high-value initiatives. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a multi-year digital and data transformation for a highly respected business at the Firm.
The responsibilities include:
- Support IBD Management on business reporting and senior stakeholder meetings
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify and implement future-focused methods, models, and toolsets
- Develop reporting and dashboard solutions in partnership with technology to help enable business intelligence and timely decision making
- Identify and interpret business trends across complex data sets to guide optimization efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree would be a plus
- 3-5 years of experience working in analytics, investment banking or financial services
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining report / dashboards
- Exposure to diverse data platforms to be able to define common consolidated reporting and analytics metrics
- Experience with CapIQ, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Dealogic or Factset is a plus but not required
- Strong executive communication skills: written and oral communication skills, coupled with strategic influencing skills
- Successful track record of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Enjoying working with diverse leaders across organizations a plus
- Proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the role requires rigorous analytics & data consolidation
