Job Location: Mumbai
In this role, you will collect and manage data and the basic data analysis process for the Credit Ratings of Structured Finance instruments. You will be part of a team responsible for monitoring ratings assigned to RMBS, ABS and Structured Credit transactions, as well as for the development of databases and applications within the Structured Finance group. This role will require working closely with the rating analysts to undertake end-to-end data process and basic analysis for use in criteria development and ratings and publications.
Responsibilities
+ Collect, organize, and analyze data from internal and external sources to create monthly performance analytics reports
+ Perform QA on all data contained in the reports
+ Maintain regular and open communication with the operations team and the EMEA team about assigned tasks, priorities, etc.
+ Study recent performance trends for transactions. The metrics to be evaluated include, among others: credit enhancement, delinquency, cumulative defaults, recoveries, prepayments, seasoning, excess spread and changes in collateral characteristics
+ Have a mindset to bring about process efficiencies and ideate automations
+ Take ownership of the tasks with focus on quality and accuracy of the deliverables
+ Demonstrate strong learning curve
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
Requirements
+ Completed a bachelor (or equivalent) degree in a subject such as finance, mathematics, financial engineering, economics, accounting or similar quantitative discipline; CFA preferred
+ 1-2 years of data management and data analysis experience, credit ratings or structured finance background preferred. Knowledge of European markets is a plus
+ High level of proficiency and comfort with working on Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of analytical programming languages (VBA, Python, etc.) is a plus
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work well with diverse individuals
+ Demonstrated analytical abilities, with a high attention to detail and producing high quality work.
