Department Overview The Data Center Team is in charge of all Hardware Support for Environments that Provide Software as a Service to our Customers from Colocation Data Centers For the Unified Communications Business Unit in Motorola Solutions.
We maintain and Design all aspects of Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 for the MCPTT platforms hosted in the colocation data centers.
We are also in charge of integrating the Customer Networks or platforms with the data center environments either by Dedicated Links, Over the internet, or over IPSec Tunnels. we also integrate Data Center environments to Public Cloud Providers like Azure and Amazon AWS.
Job Description
Supports network architecture consultants by preparing detailed specifications and documentation from highlevel designs
Plans, researches, evaluates, designs and develops network systems by applying engineering, hardware and software design theories and principles to develop a compatible system infrastructure in line with organization strategies.
Designs, analyzes, plans and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities.
Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods.
Prepares the analysis of the shortterm or longterm capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling.
Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.
Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.
Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections.
Additional Qualified Skills
Experience Working with new Generation Firewalls
Basic Requirements
At least a Bachelor39;s in Engineering, Electronics, Communications or similar Degree
3 Years of experience Managing Networking gear
CCNA and CCNP mandatory
