The Principal SQL Data Services Analyst will be part of the Originations Finance Reporting and Analytics team. This leadership position is primarily responsible for operational reporting and analysis for various areas within the Direct-to-Consumer FLASH technology platform. Additional ad-hoc analysis and supporting ongoing and/or prospective projects is also a key component of the position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the Originations FLASH Technology platform control reporting and overall data flow; working directly with the business to implement changes to data and reporting
- Work with Key Stakeholders in project management to develop quick analytical frameworks, Cost Benefit Analysis, and control reporting for new products in development / recently released
- Participate in product development meetings to ensure insights into technical details of product data flow are accounted for.
- Work with data services architects to design the data infrastructure
- Communicate with key stakeholders on timelines and expectations of working with data services and a clear impact assessment framework (i.e., for changes, updates, etc.)
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the company’s business model and competitive/benchmark landscape; recommend and drive best practice adoption
- Proactively identify, track, and analyze key business metrics; with the goal of contributing to business decisions and driving operational results
- Deliver weekly project status updates to management that includes completed, in progress, and upcoming product backlog items.

- Prior Mortgage industry experience a plus. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced (3+ Years) of SQL experience. Writing and Executing Stored Procedures. Troubleshooting existing code sets.
- Knowledge of relational database structures.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL data base like Mongo / JSON / XML
- Experience in Data warehousing, data pipelines, data modeling in on premises as well as cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of real time data streaming and tools like Kafka is preferred
- Power BI experience preferred
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science / Computer Science / Mathematics or a related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education (3+ Years).
