Job Location: Austin, TX

About MVP:

Headquartered in the heart of Austin, Texas, MVP is the emerging standard global brands use to value their sports and entertainment sponsorships and understand who engages with, or purchases, their products. Our clients — Fortune 500 brands, professional teams, global agencies, and media — use MVP as the standard for benchmarking sponsorship performance, understanding audiences, and deciding where to run and how to measure campaigns.

About the Role:

MVP is looking for a Quality Assurance Intern to assist with research and execution of deliverables primarily for our in-house analysts team. They will be responsible for data management and QA validation of existing cutting edge technologies, including computer vision and mass data intelligence. They must be extremely detail oriented and have a strong contextual understanding of social media, major sports, and popular brands.

This unpaid spring internship entails on-call, ad-hoc remote work January – May 2023. Depending on candidates’ schedule, there will be approximately 8-10 hours a week. The hours will not be structured and can be tailored according to the candidate’s schedule. This opportunity is perfect for a student whose schedule does not allow them to take on a traditional internship.

What You’ll Do:

  • Example: Learn and understand the importance of sponsored assets, including camera-visible, social media, and others, for brands sponsoring teams, leagues, athletes, events, venues, and more in sports and entertainment
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to gather and refine large data sets and analyze to provide key insights to clients on a per project basis.
  • Monitor brands, teams, leagues, and properties across the omnichannel universe and identify and deliver reports to internal analysts that would unlock additional value through services provided
  • Be exposed to a deeper understanding of the interworks of teams and their partners, and how they interact with the league and the advertising sphere at large. Gain advanced insights into how brands identify value in properties and execute within the omnichannel universe.
  • Explore the social media universe to identify potential up and coming entities that would deliver more value to our clients.

What We’d Like You To Have:

  • Must have completed at least two years of an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to extract insights from data and draw appropriate conclusions, then effectively translate those conclusions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Google suite of applications, especially Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous, fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of social and digital marketing principles
  • General sports, gaming, and/or entertainment knowledge required

It’s a Plus If You Have:

  • Understanding of digital technologies or social media management
  • Experience in sports marketing or information with a team or agency

What You’ll Get Out Of It:

  • A team of talented, hard-working colleagues
  • The opportunity to invent new solutions, grow your career, and enhance your skill-set
  • The ability to work with a team of talented, fun, and hard-working colleagues in a highly collaborative culture

We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our colleagues at MVP.
