Software Engineer- Datapath Intern
The Position
Nasuni is looking for an intern software developer with can-do attitude and desire to learn and improve skills and experience in development of cloud file storage products. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in advancing Nasuni’s solution and contribute to the company’s cutting-edge technology. We’re looking for a self-motivated team player who uses critical thinking and data to contribute into Nasuni’s core technology. We have a collaborative environment where you will share ideas and learn from mentors.
As the Software Engineer- Datapath Intern, you will…
- Under guidance of a mentor, take part in implementing new functionality, and maintenance and support of existing functionality in high-pace Agile environment
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, design reviews and other work related to expanding Nasuni’s functionality
- Troubleshoot issues, debug and fix bugs reported by customers, support, QA and development
Required skills + experience we look for are…
- Ability to code in one of following programming languages: C++ or Python
- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals: Algorithms and Data Structures, Object Oriented Design concepts
- Confident user of command line interface in a Unix-based system such as Linux or Mac
- Familiarity with file systems, cloud storage, network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) is desirable but not required. You will learn about file systems at Nasuni.
- Strong reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in English are required.
- Ability to work onsite at Nasuni Global Headquarters in Boston’s Seaport: One Marina Park Drive, Boston, MA 02210 or Nasuni’s Marlborough, MA office
- Available Summer 2023 – roughly June 5th through August 25th
- Work 2-3 days in our office to collaborate with the Engineering team and peers
