Position Summary:
This position is part of the NBA Product Analytics team whose mission is to provide analysis, reporting and data-backed insights that help shape the NBA’s direct-to-consumer strategy, inform the digital roadmap, and prioritize product updates, enhancements, and fixes in pursuit of the NBA’s business goals.In this specific role, your responsibility will be to analyze and monitor product performance and user behavior data and deliver insights that inform how the NBA adapts its ever-evolving Next Gen direct-to-consumer strategy. More specifically, you will be assisting with analyzing user behavior in the product, assisting with reporting, performing competitive analysis on otherproducts in the streaming landscape, estimating the NBA’s total addressable market and helping to build documentation. You will also complete a summer-long analytical capstone project and deliver insights to stakeholders. Success in the role requires a keen ability to connect the dots and close the gap between research and actionable insights.Major Responsibilities: Analyze NBA digital product performance through the lens of the user experience, Derive insights around user behavior, UI/UX design, ecommerce conversion and subscriber retention, Study the growth cross-device usage among NBA fans around the globe, Perform competitive analysis on other sports leagues’ direct-to-consumer platforms (NFL, MLB, NHL, Premier League, etc)., Identify growth opportunities that exist domestically and internationally based on NBA market sizes and penetration, Develop and manage documentation resources for Product Analytics team reporting.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Basic SQL. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analyticalorientation and experience working with datasets. Coursework in Math & Statistics. Presentation experience and proficiency with Powerpoint/Keynote. Using data to tell stories. You have the ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. Organizational and time management skills. Python and R skills are a plus. Tableau and Microsoft PBI experience is a plus.
Education:
Rising Junior or Senior in undergraduate program.
