Job Purpose
The FDRO, Manager is part of a global organization responsible for leading a team in the creation of standard BI reports, dashboards and other forms of information to gain business perspective and insights to monitor key organizational and operational measures. Reports to the Director, US FDRO, responsible for providing performance visibility throughout the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for leading a fully integrated report development and production team. Responsible for providing cross training, development and succession plans
- Responsible for Identifying and implementing process improvements that deliver values to the organization.
- Responsible for leading the delivery of reports as part of BAU support as well supporting report development and requirements gathering.
- Responsible for ensuring financial system integration for the accurate production of financial reporting; responsible for reviewing current data mining and BI analysis tools meet end-users needs to reduce inconsistency in data.
- Partners with Process and Controls Teams to ensure proper documentation of process and adherence to controls.
- Provides support to ensure proper usage of BI tools, inclusive of ad-hoc reporting; performs quality assurance review of systems to ensure system usability.
- Partners with FP&A to make updates to BI systems on an ongoing basis; responsible for monitoring and identifying risks / issues as well as overseeing change impacts; ensures US GAAP, SEC requirements and IFRS compliance.
- Provides counsel to employees, manages third party consultants and contractors, and advises senior leaders as necessary.
- Builds and manages results-driven teams by taking a strategic and technical view of performance management by involving employees in planning, relationship building, decision-making, forecasting, and analysis processes.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
- Business Intelligence Systems and tools Standard and ad-hoc report creation Data mining
- General and technical accounting knowledge System implementation
- Utility industry accounting preferred
- US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC regulations and IFRS Process Management
- Month-end close processes Risk mitigation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred 7 years in MIS or financial discipline with increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to develop BI systems and reports Background in utility service or similar industry accounting Ability to develop technical training and ensure implementation Proven experience in developing technical training for end-users Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities
- Excellent written / oral communication skills and follow-up
