Job Purpose


The Senior Analyst, Trade Network Partnerships
is responsible for maintaining and helping to expand the database of, communication with, and tracking of performance by all energy efficiency and electrification trade network partners that National Grid interfaces with, including equipment manufacturers, their reseller channel (often distributors or manufacturer representative firms), engineering firms, contractors, and other partner allies who benefit economically from building electrification and energy efficiency projects.

The Senior Analyst is responsible for developing and tracking other metrics to determine Trade Network Partnership engagement levels and process improvements. The Senior Analyst reports to the Manager of Commercial Trade Network Partnerships in Massachusetts and can be based out of any MA office.

As part of the Customer Solutions New England Team, the successful candidate will be knowledgeable energy efficiency and electrification programs in Massachusetts. Candidate should demonstrate success working with internal partners and be able to determine trends and process improvements through data analytics.

This role is responsible for reporting trade partner performance and other activities to support delivery of results against approved program targets and services within the C&I energy efficiency and electrification programs. A successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of analyzing, managing, and delivering results as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Accountabilities


Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Deliver high-quality work with adherence to internal and external deadlines.
  • Responsible for developing and managing weatherization compliance process for electrification/heat pump projects
  • Manage QA / QC process for select programs including data review, invoice processing, and process improvement determination
  • Analyze data sets to determine where program participation gaps exist. Communicate internally to ensure action is taken to fill gaps
  • Support portfolio budgets, sales targets, and collaborate with internal and external partners to develop robust strategies that offer best-in-class approaches for the products / services being delivered
  • Monthly/Biweekly analysis and monitoring of progress of budgets, trade partner performance, and annual forecasts. Including timely review and approval of invoices, accruals and ad hoc reporting as requested
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver market specific communications that drive action and convey important information about the programs offerings, goals, or targets
  • Proactively seek ways to improve the teamโ€™s services and results and develop process improvement methods/processes
  • Travel periodically to different locations within the National Grid service territory
  • Develop, maintain, implement, and/or manage strategy, maximizing opportunities and minimizing risks.
  • Ensure the developed methodologies consider customersโ€™ needs and appropriate operational and commercial drivers.
  • Act as a ‘subject matter expert ‘in applicable area(s). Provide relevant expert advice, insight and education to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational and commercial strategies, as well as supporting tools, processes and procedures.
  • Assess key performance indicators, provide key inputs, and identify and champion revenue opportunities


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Sustainability, Analytics, or a related field, preferred.
  • Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), along with the ability to manage, report and present data as well as learn other programs and applications such as Salesforce and SAP
  • Strong reporting skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of relevant industry practice, legislation, trends and technological advancements in energy efficiency and/or electrification.
  • 3+ years of work experience in Energy, Energy Efficiency program management, Industrial, Commercial and/or Residential building management field.
  • Understands energy profiles, and familiar with MA regulatory and environmental policy desired.
  • Knowledge of National Grid’s business operations, company policies, and practices is helpful but not required.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to organize information (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Strong adherence to meeting company data reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt and tailor an approach to a wide variety of audiences and ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix environment
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Able to visually show team KPIs and trends in a manner that is easily understood to all.

MA Salary


$92,000 – $108,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
