JOB SUMMARY:
This is a career building opportunity to develop professional reporting and analytical acumen. The Data Reporting Analyst Intern will help in assisting with various databases and data sources for detailed analysis and will help assemble reports that provide key information necessary to manage all areas of the business. This position will work with all areas of the Operations, Customer Care Center, and Field Services to assist in providing and maintaining data, scorecards, dashboard and presentations as directed.
This business unit communicates with different departments of the company to establish the corporate requirements. The reports will be furnished in order to meet these corporate requirements. You will be requested to adhere to confidentiality standards set by the company. The information you will receive from key people in the company is sensitive and can affect its operations.
This internship will provide a variety of diverse opportunities which include hands on experience, real time projects, executive leadership interaction, and industry knowledge. This is a 3-month paid internship program at our Dallas, HQ location. Dates are subject to change based on individual University start and stop dates. If applicable, a housing allowance will be provided.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Learn the importance of KPI (Key performance Indicators) Reports
- Work with a team member to develop descriptive charts, graphs, legends, etc.
- Assist with the distribution of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc repots as required
- Help with the automation of the reporting process to drive efficiencies
- Assist in the gathering of reasons & explanations from various departments when SLAs are below targets
- Learn the basics of the development and compilation of company reporting dashboard for executive review
- Help with the development and build out of a reporting team as the business grows
- Works closely with other department teams to understand data being reported on and presented
- Any other tasks and/or duties assigned Participate in special projects, as needed.
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Pursing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent degree discipline
- Junior or Senior is required
- Minimum 3.0 GPA is required
- Strong skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint are preferred
- Experience with reporting engines such as SAP, Sharepoint and Crystal Reports is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of personnel both internally and externally
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
