What you’ll be doing:
Develop and manage BI solutions and reporting frameworks.
Presenting information through reports and visualization through Power BI
Convert business requirements into technical specifications and work with leads/analysts to
share timeline to accomplish and write complex queries and power queries.
Analyse current ETL process, design and build new systems
Preparing the physical and logical data model
Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI
Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals
Converting raw data into meaningful, interactive, and counter-intuitive dashboards and
reports
Implementing Power BI Security measures, models, and data refresh strategies
Analyse business data sets and give a strong emphasis on reusability
What we’re looking for:
Overall hands-on experience of 6-8 years in analytical reporting
A minimum of 4 years hands-on experience and proficiency in Power BI desktop and
Microsoft BI its suite of tools.
Strong understanding of Power BI including DAX, Power Query and Row Level Security –
Knowledge around Pipelining / scripting of report deployments would be a plus
Experience of Data Modelling and star schemas including ETL processes
Experience in advanced SQL Server / Postgres database querying including writing functions
and complex procedures.
Some Java knowledge would be beneficial but not essential
Knowledge of AzureDevops would be beneficial
Microsoft Power BI certifications are an added bonus.
Sound knowledge of database management, data warehousing and OLAP systems.
Self motivated and eager to learn and experiment new things and connect with on the
ground level problems/use cases.
Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a scrum team
Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Document process, models, designs, and solutions and able to explain, represent, and
discuss with the team
Knowledge in Technology such as SAS, MEAN Stack are a big plus
Ability to read code and support applications, reports and processes
Proficiency in Scrum methodologies
OTHER INFORMATION
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. Documentary evidence will be required.
