A BI QA Engineer is responsible for leading test initiatives on our software implementation projects, acting as a trusted advisor and SME for the report development teams and onshore partners.
What you’ll do:
-
Validate Business Intelligence solutions by building QA strategy and test plans.
-
Produce test summary reports.
-
Identify opportunities for automation within the QA landscape.
-
Designing, documenting and executing test plans, test scenarios/scripts & test cases for manual, automated & all types of BI outputs.
-
Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality and data quality.
-
Identify where QA is bringing value and identify quantifiable risk.
-
Collaborate with other teams to understand how automated QA can improve SLA
-
Follow up on every quality escape to ensure that actionable outcomes are identified and implemented
-
Bachelors degree in computer science delivered in English language
-
Familiar with automation software UI Path RPA, Lambda Test or other
-
Business Intelligence or analytics experience specifically Power BI, MicroStrategy
-
Microsoft competent
-
3+ years experience in technical vendor management professional environment
-
Proven ability to create test plans and test scripts
-
Experienced in executing tests and presenting results
-
Business Intelligence tool experience
-
Ability to work closely with developers and the business to understand how development connects to business requirements

Ability to quantify risk
-
Experience with Functional and Performance test tools
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Experience with Performance Testing

Ability to reverse engineer existing setups
-
Automation and robotics
-
Proactive, flexible and self-motivated attitude

Strong communication skills, ability to document, present and educate others

Willingness to take ownership and see projects to completion

Ability to anticipate the bigger picture and are holistic by nature

Experience and desire to create process documentation
