WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- As the Lead Data Analyst for Enterprise Data & Analytics team, you’ll be responsible for delivering Data Foundations, BI & Advanced Analytics solutions and capability to enterprise teams and business users.
- Primary role of LDA would be to help demystify data for Product/Engineering and help provide the context that is essential to build a high-fidelity data solution for Nike.
- A Lead Data Analyst comes with strong hands-on expertise in working with large amounts of data and being able to navigate the complexity of bringing structure and method to understanding functional use case for the same. This in turn would help inform Product & Engineering on the course of action to develop sound data products.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Understand product vision & roadmap and work closely with Technical Product Managers to help solicit user inputs that would help define requirements clearly to Engineering and would further aid in development
- Discover and analyze data sources, create meaningful data summaries & relationship diagrams, eventually leading up to building a Source to Target mapping, that would act as precursor to Engineering development
- Work closely with Information & Enterprise Architecture, to help define data models & inform solution design in conjunction with Engineering
- Produce critical insights into data that teams can then leverage to maximize the use of data products, as well as increase eventual adoption
- Partner with business and capability teams as well as stakeholders to understand the business processes that generate and/or consumer data. Understand the process workflow and where it fits into the broader capability landscape. Use this subject matter expertise in partnership with engineers to define data solutions
- Write, drive, and prioritize thoughtful and detailed functional specifications for real-time operational and performance analytics using opensource streaming technologies
- Deploy reporting and analytics within a focused area of the Nike business value stream to enable data driven business decisions that will drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals
- Deploy quantitative research, casual inference and predictive models to understand and optimize drivers of growth and performance
- Project manage and deliver large analytics projects with multiple business stakeholders on firm deadlines
- Utilize expertise with business partners to collaborate with key partners to understand requirements, drive knowledge into action and support data driven decision making
- Document and communicate systems/analytics changes to the business, translating complex functionality into business relevant language.
- Support and troubleshoot issues (process & system), identify root cause, and proactively recommend sustainable corrective actions
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams across Enterprise Data & Analytics. You will work closely with stakeholder groups across the geography to identify and solve their business problems.
- We’re looking for someone who has a proven track record of being able to navigate through complex product landscape and having delivered successful data products. To that effect, we are looking for someone with these skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, other quantitative disciplines, or related fields
- 8+ years of relevant analytical experiences that can translate into defining strategic vision into requirements and working with the best engineers, product managers, and data scientists
- Prior experience working with complex data landscape, preferably in an enterprise setting
- Ability to conduct data analysis, develop and test hypothesis and deliver insights with minimal supervision
- Experience identifying and define KPI’s and cohorts for apps, traffic, user retention
- Exceptional SQL skills
- Experience with modern visualization tool stack, such as: Kibana, Tableau, Power BI, d3js
- Hands-on experience working with streaming data sources such as Kafka, Kinesis
- Experience with open-source, big data and cloud infrastructure such as AWS
- Experience writing detailed technical specifications describing requirements for data movement, transformation, storage, quality checks, and access latency
- Incredible attention to detail, with structured problem-solving approach
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with clickstream data
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- High proficiency in data transformation and BI tools
- Experience with retail or ecommerce domains is preferred
